BIA/Kelsey will be a featured presenter at the Digital Futures Exchange (DFX) that is a one-day conference hosted on Sunday, April 17th by NAB’s innovation group, NAB PILOT, as part of the 2016 NAB Show. BIA/Kelsey’s presentation will advise how local broadcasters can understand macro trends in the marketplace and develop strategies for digital revenue growth.
BIA/Kelsey is joining other leading industry experts at this session, including speakers from the IAB, PewResearchCenter and Local Media Association.
The DFX Summit will tackle a variety of issues and topics including:
- Spending is shifting. Digital advertising targeting local audiences will grow more than 50% from 2016-2020. BIA/Kelsey forecasts that advertisers will spend $42.6B in digital media targeting local audiences this year. Spending to reach local audiences will grow to $66B by 2020. This spending shift is coming at the expense of traditional media platforms.
- Audiences are looking for a quality overall experience with content across screens and platforms and shifting their media habits to accomplish this.
- Brands are leveraging data-driven marketing strategies and engaging in new local market automation and programmatic exchange platforms which is changing their media planning and strategies.
- Competitive media platforms are embracing digital solutions for content, marketing, audience targeting and revenue models in new ways that are challenging local broadcasting.
